Andy Bryce – Associate Partner

Andrew joined the practice in 1993, having taught and worked independently for four years in his own small office, working mainly on small scale domestic and commercial projects and furniture prototypes, including a competition winning proposal to design a chair for retailer Joseph Ettedgui. He was made an Associate in 1995 and an Associate Partner in 2011.

Andrew has worked on a variety of high-profile projects within the office, with a particular focus on prominent urban locations in sensitive planning environments in central London. Through this experience, Andrew has developed excellent working relations with a number of client and statutory bodies and consultees. Key projects include: The Leadenhall Building in the City for British Land, for which he was project architect during feasibility and planning stages; One Hyde Park for developers Candy & Candy in Knightsbridge; NEO Bankside for Native Land and the World Conservation and Exhibition Centre at the British Museum.

More recently, Andrew has worked on the Aile Est of Geneva Airport, taking the proposal from competition to detail design stage; Riverlight, a residential development on the south bank of the River Thames in Battersea, and 22 Hanover Square, a residential scheme for a site within the Mayfair Conservation Area in London.

Currently, Andrew is working on a scheme to expand the British Library which will create new gallery spaces, events spaces, a public entrance and a headquarters for the Alan Turing Institute. He is also working on Bromley by Bow Gasworks, which is part of an initiative to regenerate redundant gasholder sites in and around London.

His interest lies in maintaining creative input and involvement in project work of the highest quality – irrespective of neat categorisations of use, type, scale, context or materials.
