Tracy Meller – Partner

With a command of the detail and big picture in equal measure, Tracy is one of the best project architects I have worked with.

Dan Clarke, Development Director, Native Land

Tracy joined the practice in 2000, was made an Associate in 2004, an Associate Partner in 2011 and a Partner in 2016. She has been involved in a wide range of projects at all stages, across the residential, commercial, healthcare, and education sectors.

As lead architect on projects such as Centre Building at LSE (London School of Economics), NEO Bankside and Mossbourne Community Academy, Tracy has a track record of delivering innovative schemes on some of the most complex urban sites.

From the initial competition in 2013 through to completion in 2019, Tracy was the Partner responsible for the design development and delivery of Centre Building at the LSE. By building a strong and mutually respectful relationship with the LSE estates team and wider consultant group, Tracy was able to lead the team through the evolution of the brief, stakeholder consultation, design development and contractor selection process.

Tracy has been a member of the RIBA awards group for the last 4 years; and has judged the Architect’s Journal Women in Architecture award for the last 2 years. She is a founder and member of the Higher Education Design Quality Forum (HEDQF) and manages internal resourcing at RSHP, whilst leading the recruitment team.

Tracy was recently awarded the Inaugural MJ Long Award for Excellence in Practice 2020 for her work on Centre Building at the LSE. The MJ Long Prize is open to all UK-based female architects and is judged on an overall body of work, with an emphasis on a project completed in the past 18 months.

In 2020, Tracy was made Honorary Professor of Architecture at the University of Nottingham.
