As the Lead Associate Partner on projects such as the South Kensington Around Station redevelopment, the 30 Old Burlington Street gallery and residential scheme in Mayfair and 1 Beekman Street in New York, Simon has a proven track record of delivering award-winning mixed-use schemes in complex and historic settings.
Simon joined Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners in 2006, was made an Associate in 2007 and an Associate Partner in 2016. He is currently project architect for the South Kensington Around Station Development, a large mixed-use scheme which will sensitively and contextually reinvigorate the area around South Kensington for residents and visitors alike. He is also project Architect for 1 Beekman Street, a distinctive residential tower in New York consisting of 30 apartments with commercial space at the base of the building. The proposed tower will stand at 25 storeys, giving excellent views across City Hall Park.
Previously, Simon was project architect on NEO Bankside, a £135 million, award-winning residential scheme adjacent to Tate Modern in London, shortlisted for the Stirling Prize. Leading a large architectural team, Simon has followed the project’s development through to its completion. He has worked on the feasibility study for a mixed-use scheme in Toronto and was involved in the designs for 3 World Trade Centre. His extensive experience covers all stages of the building process from concept design to detailing and construction. Additionally, Simon takes a lead role in RSHP’s Sustainability Group.
Before joining the practice, Simon worked on a diverse range of schemes around the world including as a consultant to UNESCO in Kathmandu and local NGOs; and in London as a senior design architect specialising in arts, commercial and high-rise projects for Wilkinson Eyre Architects.
