Lorna Edwards – Associate Director

Lorna was exceptional throughout the process and the fact that she is held with such great regard from across all members of the delivery team is testament to this. We all valued her input immensely and agree that the outstanding building that has been created is in huge part down to her dedication, skill and influence

Ken Kinsella - Director of Capital Development at LSE

Lorna’s 25-year career has focused on the design and delivery of transformative projects across the cultural, life sciences, higher education, and healthcare sectors. She brings extensive experience in managing complex urban developments, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and leading multidisciplinary teams. Her ability to balance strategic vision with technical detail - combined with a collaborative, pragmatic approach - has been central to the successful delivery of numerous high-profile schemes.

Since 2020, Lorna has led the British Library Extension, a landmark project that will expand the Library’s outreach, education, conservation, and exhibition programmes. The scheme integrates new library facilities, a major Life Sciences hub, Crossrail 2 infrastructure, and extensive public realm improvements alongside the existing Grade I Listed Library. Her portfolio includes significant roles on projects requiring detailed stakeholder engagement and on-site delivery. She served as Project Architect for the RIBA National Award-winning LSE Centre Building and was a core team member for the British Museum’s World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre, shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.

Prior to joining RSHP, Lorna led several healthcare projects in inner-city locations. Beyond project work, Lorna contributes to RSHP’s recruitment and sustainability initiatives and served on the LETI Pioneers Steering Committee (2022–2023). She is a member of New London Architecture’s Innovation Districts Expert Panel and previously sat on its Education Expert Panel (2022–2024). Outside the practice, Lorna is an External Examiner for Architecture and the Built Environment at the University of Nottingham.
