Open House London is the annual opportunity to discover over 750 buildings, major construction and engineering achievements, neighbourhood and landscape walks, architect’s talks, boat tours and more taking place on 17-18 September 2016.
RSHP moved into their new studio in the RSHP designed Leadenhall Building in December last year, and are this year offering the chance to visit the studios.The open plan office has spectacular views over London’s skyline including St Paul’s Cathedral, Canary Wharf and Lloyd’s of London. Tickets sold out within two days, therefore we are no longer taking any more bookings.
The Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital is offering a unique opportunity for the public to participate in one of the guided tours of the new £160 million Centre, prior to its official opening this autumn. Tours will run on Saturday and Sunday, but must be prebooked here.
Winner of the Mayor’s Prize and temporary housing design in the New London Architecture Awards, PLACE/Ladywell, a 24 unit housing development for homeless families for Lewisham Council and low cost housing scheme for YMCA, Y:Cube Mitcham are both open on Saturday 17 September, offering architect led tours. Maggie’s West London, winner of the 2009 Stirling Prize is open on Sunday 18 September.
